  1. Graham should have been jettisoned from this roster as soon as it was apparent they had aspirations of contending. Knowing this FO, they'll get rid of him now, which is of course counterintuitive to most people, but flawlessly logical to them.
  2. Aaron's just happy that his prophesying of a collapse has come to fruition.
  3. I believe Elaine Benes would refer to you as a hipster doofus.
  4. His line drive percentage is consistent with his BA, so I don't think bad luck as anything to do with it.
  5. I don't know whether to consider this sarcastic or not. Since when does a player have to be in AAA to get called up?
  6. I agree with this, and I think the same can be said about Santana. Let's get rid of both of them and get Polanco in there.
  7. Here's the lineup I'd like to see, predicated on a Vargas callup: 1 Dozier 2B 2 Rosario LF 3 Hunter RF 4 Plouffe 3B 5 Mauer 1B 6 Vargas DH 7 Hicks CF 8 Suzuki C 9 Escobar SS Send Santana down, recall Vargas. I realistically can't see them moving Mauer much farther down than 5th, or else I'd swap him with Vargas in the lineup.
  8. I think the bottom line is that they won't make any wholesale moves if they keep winning. I think they're afraid to upset the apple cart.
  9. I would think Chih-Wei Hu and Stephen Gonsalves would have something to say about the top three starting prospects thing.
  10. Let's not forget Rosario's hard smash single off of lefty McFarland. That sounded loud.
  11. How bad could Pinto be in left field? I realize he's played a grand total of 3 games there in his minor league career, and had an error in 2 of those, but it would be a good idea to get him some positional flexibility. And I believe he has plenty of bat to work as a corner outfielder.
  12. Actually, Thorpe's ERA creeped down from 3.97 to 3.96 after this game, so I kinda guess that's in the right direction.
  13. OK, second time you've said that. Define "tried and proven."
