  1. Yikes. Took three attempts to log on. Color scheme is nuts on my eyes, as in quite literally hurting my eyes, even with my computer glasses on. Then a tutorial just to use the site to have conversation. I've been chatting with many on this forum for more than 20 years. Suppose all good things must come to an end.
  2. Now the BADgers vs. Nebraska game is canceled due to a COVID outbreak. Perhaps it isn't just Fleck...
  3. I would say the NFL has struggled worse than MLB did, but that's immaterial to this discussion.
  4. Watched three plays. Three plays more viewing than the season deserved. "Clean it up, Fleck" ?!?! It's a global pandemic, playing a game where a NORMAL interaction sends spittle flying everywhere with no "bubble" enforced, and the coach is at fault that players were infected? I'm astounded Bateman returned to the team after initially opting out. After talking to multiple potential major leaguers who are still not allowed to work out at full strength and may never realize a major league dream due to catching COVID while an underpaid minor league player, risking the health of unpaid collegiate players for entertainment and potentially risking a future professional career for some of them is beyond absurdity to me.
  5. This past summer connected the two franchises again. This time won't work out as well for the Twins. Sam Dyson barely saw the field before leaving the Twins among a domestic abuse investigation this offseason. The Giants were able to see Jaylin Davis, always one of the more underrated prospects in the system, reach the majors on the completion of an incredible year that saw him overhaul his swing at the exact right time as AAA changed their ball. That's not the end, though, as the Giants also received a high-floor arm in Kai-Wei Tseng from Taiwan and an electric, high-ceiling arm in Prelander Berroa. It could be a deal that sticks in a Twins' fan's craw for a while.
  6. How about this...when you guys want stock tips, I'll let you know what apps my wife is being told to add by all her friends with PTA and on Facebook, and you'll make millions. Shopify was huge last fall among her FB/work friends and Zoom around Veteran's Day was the app to get from the PTA. I'll ask her what the next big one is tonight for you!
  7. I thought the third season was a pure mess. The fourth season was better, though not to the point of the first two, as you said. The finale was gold. Then watching the interviews afterward with cast members got all the feels going.
  8. I think Vallimont has significantly more chance to start than does Canterino long-term, and if I'm reworking the list I put out in November for Prospects Live with video viewed over the offseason, Vallimont is #10/11. FWIW, I added in Luis Rijo at the back end of my top 30 to replace Graterol.
  9. Intriguing point to consider is just how quickly Walker rose to the point of election from mediocre vote totals. Essentially, anyone writing off Andruw Jones from the Hall of Fame right now should reconsider if they're doing it based on his current vote percentage, because Walker was at a similar vote percentage 7 years into his candidacy that Jones is in his second year. (Others are around Jones' vote tally, it's just notable that they had nearly the same percentage this year as Walker's last year before his final ascent began to election)
  10. Or perhaps there's a better path to a head coaching job going that route rather than staying. Lots of things to weigh in, not just job for job.
  11. If I were to pick the matchup of the rumored potential ones that I wanted to see most, this was the one. Now they need to go show out.
  12. One thing to consider with names like this is how many names and logos are trademarked. It becomes a minefield for teams when they attempt to re-brand. As far as the Miracle name, there are mixed stories on that, but Fort Myers did sue Florida (now Miami) over the Marlins name, as that was the team name in the city for many years.
  13. I live in South Dakota. I find no spending comparably frivilous as the state's current ad campaign.
  14. A testicle emerging from a vagina. That is going to sell well... Sort of the way University of South Carolina apparel that has their shortened team name sells like hot cakes..it has nothing to do with the school for sure.
