  1. Yes, I absolutely agree. This team needs to win a playoff series at some point in time. Remember that they aren’t guaranteed to play Houston or New York in Round One of the playoffs. Highly unlikely, infact. New York and Houston will probably both receive byes.
  2. Wait, didn’t we have one of these last year between Tampa Bay and Boston in September? I guess we had another one tonight: Ryan Tapia with the inside-the-park grand slam as the Blue Jays score four touchdowns in a big win over the Red Sox!
  3. Given how much Murray got and Watson (who hasn’t played football in over a year) got, just imagine how much Jackson, Herbert, and Burrow could be getting
  4. Agreed, at least while Kingsberry is his coach, because Kingsberry-led teams aren’t exactly known for finishing the season strong. The Rams defense completely smothered Murray.
  5. This past offseason, the Twins signed FA SS Carlos Correa to a 3-year/$105M deal, with player opt-outs after both the 2022 and 23 seasons. According to Phil Miller of the Star Tribune, the Twins have not initiated any conversation about an extension for Correa. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Correa was interested in signing a long term deal with the Twins back in April. It is decision time for the Twins. To trade Correa or not to trade Correa. If the Twins trade Correa, they could get a nice haul in return. If the Twins keep Correa, it could benefit them if they sign Correa to a long-term deal. However, they would also run the risk of losing Correa for nothing. Would you trade Correa? Why or why not? https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/.amp/twins/should-the-twins-trade-carlos-correa-or-risk-losing-him-for-nothing View full trade rumor
  6. The Cardinals just gave Kyler Murray a big extension of 5 years, $230.5M. $160M of that is guaranteed. The average annual value of this deal is the second-highest in the NFL. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34275993/arizona-cardinals-star-kyler-murray-agrees-2305-million-deal-now-nfl-richest-qbs-source-says?platform=amp The Cardinals must really believe in him given that they’re paying him more than Allen and Mahomes.
  7. His homer was also the difference in the game!
  8. Maybe, but nobody saw Boston beating Tampa Bay last year. Nobody saw Atlanta beating the Dodgers either.
  9. Bullpen help is a pressing need for our Minnesota Twins at this year’s trade deadline if they are to make it to the postseason and actually win when they get there. Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic lists off 10 pitchers that he believes could boost the Twins’ bullpen. https://theathletic.com/3389498/2022/06/30/twins-trade-deadline-relief-pitchers/?source=user_shared_article View full trade rumor
  10. The FO/organization will absolutely do something significant at the deadline. Guaranteed.
  11. Finally we can actually hit the ****ing ball against these guys
  12. Just checked MLB Gameday, and I see that we had Runners at 3rd with no outs TWO TIMES and we didn’t score them either time Good ****ing lord
  13. Glad we pulled out the win. On to the White Sox. Let’s sweep those guys and roll into the break strong
  14. Our Minnesota Twins have gone 1-4 in their last 5 games. 3 of those 4 losses have been the fault of the pitching staff. Wes Johnson leaving abruptly may have something to do with it. The Twins currently sit at 48-41 and 1st Place in the AL Central. Therefore, they have a chance to win the division and make the playoffs. However, they need to break out of their funk if that is going to happen. Do you think the Twins can right the ship? Why or why not?
