Darin Bratsch's Achievements

  1. Raines deserves to be in by now. He was one of the top players of his era, somebody that affected how games were played and managed. Bagwel's case is absolutely HOF worthy when the fact he played in the astrodome for the majority of his career and still got 450 HR's! Biggio is a lock this year too. 3,000 hits while playing C & 2b in the astrodome?? why is their any debate? Piazza definately. I'd vote for Bonds and Clemens too because the last time I checked, Gaylord Perry is a HOF'er and he wasn't exactly Mr. Integrity.
  2. Blackburn absolutely! I'd keep Morneausy and Span. But, somebody needs to convince Span that money can be made in RF allowing Revere to go to CF. Need middle infielder and two starting pitchers.
  3. Dick-n-Bert just announced Nishioka has been recalled. Hide the women and children. I'd rather see Smalley suit up instead.

  5. I like the idea of Wisconsin Dells/ Lake Delton area. I can see my kids swimming all day and then going to the ballpark at night. Waterloo would be good second choice since its close to Twins Territory. I suppose Rochester would be to far away from other MWL teams.
  6. On the way home from Beliot yesterday, I was very interested in a question during post game show KSTP following the victory over the Red Sox. The question was about what the starting rotation will look like going into next year. Maybe some of you will disagree with me, but, here is one guess. I believe that we will use the money that was spent on Capps, Liriano and Pavano to get a very good FA to fill our #1 spot. Scott Baker gets resigned to claim the second spot. Scott Diamond has definitely earned the three spot with his performance this year. Then, things get interesting..... HOPEFULLY, Liam Hendrichs figures it out and joins the staff next year and then we have a potpourri to choose from in the fifth spot. I think it comes down to PJ Walters/Deduno/Gibson. Although i believe the Twins will want Gibson in Rochester to start the season. By now, you've notice that the name of Nick Blackburn hasn't been mentioned. We can only hope it won't be in 2013. To summarize, I see a rotation of 1. FA 2. Baker, 3. Diamond, 4. Hendrichs, 5. Deduno or Walters. Your thoughts?

  8. I think we can safely assume that the contracts of Baker and Liriano will be off the books next year. With that being said and after watching James Sheilds pitch last night, do the Twins go after Sheilds this off season? he is a horse and gives us an ace that we've lacked since Johan resided at the dome.

  10. If only we could ask for a mulligan on the Baltimore series...... Twins are 5-9 going into today's game where i expect Pavano to pitch us a series win and then we'll roll with Liriano and see if a miracle happens in St Pete. 2 outta 3 in TB means were looking at 7-10 going into a homestand with a very beatable Boston and KC teams. Asking for 2/3 in each of those series seems reasonable and then as May rolls in, we're sitting at 11-12. Considering many thought April was going to be disatrous for our Twins, I think we sitting pretty good. CC to Detriot: Objects in mirror are closer than they appear!
