  3. I didn't mind Correia. I'm just glad we are going to get the opportunity to watch other pitchers for the rest of the year.

    From the album: yes

  5. Some help with my member title?

  6. I don't mind Santana playing CF until someone better comes along. He seems to be getting better defensively there. I would like to see Hicks go to AAA now and see if he can get a call up sometime next month. If he can get some confidence back, he still is a very talented player. Maybe when that happens you can put him in CF and get Danny some SS time. Anyway around it, I would like more playing time for guys who might be around next year.
  7. I guess a one month flyer on a former prospect isn't terrible. Rather see Parm, Arcia and Santana get most the playing time though
  8. I suppose it is better than watching a bunch of SS play the outfield.
  9. I not sure this move makes complete sense to me either. Does he have any options left?
  10. We have young pitchers that are going to be filtering in a the next couple years. A guy like Suzuki who is very smart and has very good game plans on how to get batters out is a huge benefit. It helps teach the pitchers on how to get batters out.
  11. I thought Doumit was never considered a good catcher also. Wasn't he ragged on for bad catching skills?
  12. Would you rather have May and Meyer throw to someone who can call a game or someone who has no plan on getting a hitter out?
  13. Totally agree! Isn't our best catching prospect right now in Ft. Myers? That is 2-3 years from getting here. Right as Suzuki's contract is expiring, we'll have a replacement.
  14. You think they signed him for that much to be the backup? I think this shows that they have no faith that Pinto can be a major league starting catcher.
  15. It's still an option regardless. Even if it doesn't vest, we should be able to pick it up.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if Correia or Willingham are moved mid-August. They seem like perfect waiver deal guys. But then again, I'm not sure anyone is even going to want them.
  17. Who do you think they were going to be able to trade Correia and Willingham to?
  18. I'm not convinced Pinto is going to be our catcher of the future. I like this extension. Just curious on the $$$.
  19. Usually they seem to have the extension wrapped up around mid-July. It sounds like these negotiations just drug on longer.
