  1. Torii: "Do you lay out in a speedo and tan? Woo, that's a bad visual, your wife might like it though". Dick: "No I do not". Torii: So you're saying you don't get as dark as me? Dick: "Not nearly..." Love the awkwardness of the whole ordeal!
  2. I know it's the life of a baseball player and a fringe major leaguer, but it's absolute **** what they are making Vargas go through. That's a tough life to live, and he's not able to settle down anywhere for a year and have some stability not to mention a few weeks. Guess that's what you sign up for though when you're a pro. I do get it, it just doesn't seem fair to Kennys. Anyway, on a more positive note Bartolo has just been hummin along recently and I absolutely love it. It's one thing to clog up a spot, its another thing to be streaking together several quality outings in a row for a team that like it or not is in contention in mid-august (although I highly doubt they make the playoffs). Falvine took a gamble and honestly, I kinda like it. I like Big Sexy. I'll ride with the wave for now, but obviously at Colon's age there's not much room for consistent sub-par play otherwise it makes since to just have a younger guy get some development in instead. We'll see what happens going forward.
  3. Dick just asked how Garcia compares to Santiago. He needs to be given a one month suspension from FSN for that, I just threw up. On that topic, has anyone ever watched a FSN televised game in the past 5 years in which Dick has not been present? I feel like he hasn't missed a single game in years, and kudos to his dedication, but does he have any interests in life outside of broadcasting Twins baseball? Serious question. And to be honest, after listening to him and Bert on the air for lord knows how long now, it'd be nice if Dick would start to take as many games off as Bert does. I get sick of listening to their same old lingo over and over again.
  4. Dodgers have won like 46 consecutive games when they've taken a lead at any point in the game. Putting two and two together, that means that's all she wrote for this one. Twins spiraling now to the point where the Jaime acquisition may not make much of a difference anyways.
  5. Dozier follows up a bad AB with a lackadaisical play in the field. Sure he's good for a HR here and there, but his lack of effort this season has been concerning. He's a piece I'd like to see dealt at some point in the next 12 months.
  6. Or lifting the bat off his shoulder. The terrifying thing was that Dozier looked just as bad in his at bat as Colon did! Yikes.
  7. Kinda weird how Grossman always seems to act like its an 0-0 count when there's 2 strikes on him...
  8. I'm a fan of the move if we aren't giving up a priority prospect in the deal. Solid #4 starter that should only help out the rotation. Good example of cautious buying.
  9. SF up 3-1 with runner on 2nd, 1 out in bottom of the 4th. Could be double good news tonight!
  10. Beautiful pieces of hitting by the two Eddies. Would be nice to add an insurance run or two here for BK though!
  11. Pathetic. Does Molitor not teach his guys how to bunt? I can count on one hand the guys on this roster who have any idea how to lay down a bunt. Thats on Molitor.
  12. There's no excuse not to try and lay down a sacrifice bunt here. None.
  13. Incredible! Polanco would not have made that play. I rest my case regarding how incredibly valuable it is to have a talented defensive shortstop who can really flash the glove and come up with big plays. It can save you games!
  14. This is how leaving RISP costs you games. You just have to find a way to get guys in from 2nd and 3rd. Luckily, Mejia is doing a very good job at keeping the good guys in front for the time being.
  15. Dozier would've been safe if he would have gone feet first... not really sure why he chose to go into home plate sideways like that on a bang bang play. Another case in which the Twins can't convert in clutch situations. They needed to put up 2-3 runs there to feel good about themselves.
