  1. Morneau will be in for sure, I just don't think he's technically "retired" yet.
  2. This has been a rather strange trade deadline. I don't think any team had to trade away a top 3 prospect for a player. I mean, Adam Eaton got a haul of prospects for him during the winter, and I figured Gray would of at least got something like in return since he was controllable for 2 more years. I mean Fowler is a great prospect no doubt, but the Yankees have a couple of better prospects ahead of him. Just seems odd to me.
  3. Read up on Enns and he's a upper 80's left hander who may be lucky to touch 91-92. Keeps hitters off balance with off speed stuff. Sounds like that might be the reason he didn't get a chance with the Yankees even though he has put up impressive numbers throughout his minor league career.
  4. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/07/twins-trade-jaime-garcia-yankees.html?fv-home=true&post-id=98739 Getting an additional prospect back along with Zack Littell
  5. I never seen Slegers pitch besides a game or two for Indiana in college but I always just assumed he was more of a Chris Young type. Tall guy that doesn't have overpowering stuff but his length gives him some extra deception on his fastball that makes it seem a few MPH faster then it actually is.
  6. White Sox just acquired another top 100 prospect in the Frazier and Robertson deal. Top 50 to be exact in Rutherford. Now I believe that makes ten top 100 prospects. Talk about going from arguably the worst farm system in baseball to the best in less then a year. Impressive.
  7. It just takes one desperate team who thinks they are one SP away to make a deep playoff run to offer a solid package to outbid a rival team. If they don't get any decent offers for Santana then just keep him the rest of the year, but I have a feeling he won't be on the team falling the trade deadline.
  8. Cubs have traded away a lot of their top prospects the last year or so, so they are actually getting pretty thin in their system. They usually do pretty well in the International free agency so I'm sure they will restock it. White Sox now have 9 MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects. They have went from a terrible system to elite off 3 trades.
  9. Quintana would cost probably Nick Gordon, Gonslaves, Romero and a lower A level prospect. I think he is a very durable, good starter with a great contract but that is a steep asking price. We are more then just one player away so I'm in the camp of getting max value for Santana, Kintzler, and Dozier and keep building on our young players.
  10. I believe you get a compensation pick the following draft. Not sure exactly where it is but the Astros had this happen a few years ago with Aiken. They ended up getting the 2nd overall pick in the draft the following year, along with their other first round pick.
  11. So we still have Hildenberger up right? I feel like I must always miss the games he pitched in since his debut against the Indians a few weeks ago..
  12. If anyone was in the game at first base that would have been a solo home run.
  13. I don't get why not use Hildenberger there in the 7th? Has he only pitched in the one game so far?
