Is there any word on what Jake Reed's struggles are at AA? He walks a few too many guys but he's very hittable as well. The shine is wearing off him quickly and it doesn't look like he'll be helping the big club anytime in the near future unless there's some yet-unidentified adjustment to be made.

It's too bad he and Burdi haven't put it together at AA at all, they were really pushed as surefire MLB relievers that should move quickly. What's the health status on Burdi?

Kind of an aside, but I've often wondered if guys who are more active on social media, like Jake Reed, are giving us some very minor indication that they could stand being a bit more focused. I doubt there's a connection, but...

I wonder too if Reed isn't nursing a low-grade physical issue. Maybe Seth can ask Dougie Baseball.

Has absolutely nothing to do with it. Reed isn't on social media a lot anyway, but there is no correlation between social media usage and play on the field.

Baseball is hard... and when a guy gets behind in counts and struggles with command, they're going to struggle in AA.

I don't think it's fair to expect players to be any more crafted to their jobs than we are to ours.  Should we ditch social media and focus solely on our jobs?  If so, kiss posting at TD, facebook, twitter, or whatever goodbye.
