Twins Minor League Leader Board (through August 8)

To me, this leaderboard is discouraging. We only have three people in the whole system with BA > 300 and two with at least an 800 OPS? Two starters with k/9 at least 9? Where is the Twins vaunted farm. This screams mediocre to me. I hope that im mistaken.

He has been tremendous the last couple of weeks. He's been in the daily reports and usually with at least one extra base hits.

To be fair, Buxton and Sano are up (or at least below the minimum PA limits). 

 

And, it's important to remember that the top pitching prospects have moved up a level and they're not going to get the same K rates as the lower level, at least not at first.

I am curious, why do you track isolated discipline? What does it tell you about a player? Isolated discipline never seemed useful to me.

 

I am not a huge stat guy but i find bb% more useful.

I don't like going all over to get numbers, so 1.) it's easy to calculate, and 2.) It tells me how much of his OBP is based on BA. Can't make too uch of it, but it's another tracking point. 

I'm very impressed with the year Beresford is having.  Is he on the 40 man?  Can he be brought up in September?  Would he be a utility player?

Honorable Mention - Tyler Duffey, Matt Batts

1) Trevor Hildenberger

2) Brandon Peterson

He is not on the 40 man roster. He has returned/stayed with the organization that signed him as a 16-year-old in 2005. He has become a free agent after the last three seasons but came back.

 

He has played almost exclusively 2B the last 3-4 years, but he can play 3B and SS as well.
