Oh, PLUS we’re running the mascot race at the game. That’s right, you’ll be able to cheer on your favorite member of the Twins Daily crew as they race in the mascot race at Target Field. We do not know which mascots each of us will be, which brings us to the contest portion of the event…

Friday is the day! At 8:00 AM, limited tickets will be released for the Twins Daily Touch Em All Pub Crawl, and today we get to announce the final stop and giveaway, plus the great prizes you can win and the crazy price.

Our final stop will be Darby’s Pub, just one block from the stadium, who will be providing each attendee with a free craft 612 Brew (a $6 value). We’re also very happy to announce that AME Sports is providing great raffle prizes at each stop, including plaques gorgeous plaques of some of your favorite Twins players AND a replica 1987 World Series Champion ring!

The new Twins Daily is certainly a work in progress (as is any living project) but given the number of new features and reshuffled user experience elements, I thought it might help to jot down a few of the biggest differences between the old Twins Daily and the new site.

First, we’ll talk about the various sections of the site: some old, some new.

This is the second Twins Daily primer article – the first being the basics of the new Twins Daily – and today, we’ll focus on the user blog experience. How it has changed, how it hasn’t changed, and how to get the most out of your blogging experience on Twins Daily. Even some of the veteran bloggers might want to take a look at these tips, as a few things have changed with the new system.

Join Aaron and John at a live podcast, drinking free craft beers, winning great giveaways, meeting special guests, hanging with a community of Twins fans watching a Twins game together.

It all began with a Wednesday night poli-sci class.

I’m not going to lie, the story of how I've reached this point traces back to sheer laziness. I might never have ended up here if I wasn't a teenager who liked to sleep in.

Five years ago, four bloggers – whose writings were widely shared on the BattleYourTailOff.com forums – gathered their considerable baseball knowledge and passion to form Twins Daily, eschewing their individual sites in favor of a single site for All Things Twins.

It's a new year! We're heading into 2017, and in a couple of months Twins Daily will celebrate its five-year anniversary.

Whether you're a longtime community member or relatively new, we felt this might be a good time to brush up on some of the site's features and functionalities you may not be aware of, or taking full advantage of.

You will not be able to buy tickets at the door tomorrow (Saturday) so today is your last chance to gain admission to the Twins Daily Winter Meltdown. Jacque Jones and Twins President Dave St. Peter will be attending, there will be free beer, commemorative pint glasses, lots of Twins talk and it's a two-block walk from Twinsfest.

If you do buy or have bought tickets, they'll be waiting for you at the door.

The guest list for the Twins Daily Winter Meltdown continues to grow!

We're very excited to announce that Tim Laudner will be joining us to talk about the 1987 World Series, catcher framing, moving from player to media, and maybe show off what a World Series ring looks like.

Laudner is best known to Twins fans as being the starting catcher of the 1987 World Champion Twins. In that seven-game Championship series versus the Cardinals, he started every game, hitting .318 (with a .444 OBP).
