Welcome to Twins Weekly. This feature intends to help readers discover anything they may have missed, encourage prospective writers to get active and provide readers an opportunity to offer up requests for content. The big news at the site this week was Seth’s return to podcasting, which featured a star-studded lineup of guests.

We’ve waited four long years to watch meaningful September games, so we're going overboard for 2015’s Twins Daily Touch ‘Em All Pub Crawl.

This will be the biggest and best ever. PLEASE set aside the 19^th of September, starting at noon on your calendar, then take a minute and tell your friends to set it aside too. While you’re at it, you may want to set a reminder for yourself the morning of Thursday, September 3^rd, because that’s when tickets will go on sale, and we only have so much room in some of these bars.

Time is short, but there are a number of small developments in Twins Daily’s community as stories, interaction and new visitors all seem to be trending in positive directions. Let’s jump in.

Stories

Good lord: there were 30 stories last week on Twins Daily. I love you all.

Time flies when you’re having fun! And, at Twins Daily, we’ve been having a lot of fun, and hopefully you have too. It is hard to believe that in the next week, Twins Daily will turn five years old. In fact, when one of the Twins Daily owners recently mentioned that we were about to turn five, we all did a double-take. Fortunately, we had the screenshot from the first day to prove it has been five years.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing our thoughts on our old sites, Twins Daily, and some of our favorite things about this community.

And that community is what Twins Daily really is all about, at least in my opinion. When John, Parker, Nick and I first started meeting and discussing consolidating our individual blogs, we spoke frequently about building a community of Twins fans.

As you can see from the Day 1 web page, Twins Daily has come a long ways in five years. Arguably the best decision in Twins Daily history was bringing on Brock Beauchamp. OK, not arguably. It was.

We're very excited to announce that Tim Laudner will be joining us to talk about the 1987 World Series, catcher framing, moving from player to media, and maybe show off what a World Series ring looks like.

Laudner is best known to Twins fans as being the starting catcher of the 1987 World Champion Twins. In that seven-game Championship series versus the Cardinals, he started every game, hitting .318 (with a .444 OBP).
