To wave, or not to wave. That is not a question. The wave is an abomination in sports, a selfish and childish, unexplainable tradition that needs to stop. While it’s easy to point out the stupidity of the wave, there are still those who defend it. I took five defenses of the wave and aimed to rip them to shreds.

If you follow the Twins and their minor league system, 2015 was a fun season. The previous four seasons were hard to watch, but it has made following the Twins farm system - one of the best in baseball - a lot of fun. In 2015, we started seeing some of the big names debut. In fact, eight players debuted for the Minnesota Twins during the season.

The Minnesota Twins have placed closer Glen Perkins on the disabled list with a shoulder strain and called up left-hander Taylor Rogers from Class-AAA Rochester.

Rogers was "coincidentally" the subject of Seth's Prospect Retrospective today.

We don't know exactly when the official announcement will come, but at this point we do know that Derek Falvey is going to be appointed as the new President of Baseball Operations for the Minnesota Twins.

The Minnesota Twins finally got their man.

After being on the precipice of a deal with the Atlanta Braves for left-handed starter Jaime Garcia last week, only to have the deal fall apart based on the medical reports of Twins prospect Nick Burdi, the two sides have agreed on a trade: In exchange for hard-throwing prospect Huascar Ynoa the Twins will receive Garcia as well as catcher Anthony Recker.

Twins fans might not want to hear it but Yu Darvish is heading to the Chicago Cubs on a six-year deal that could be worth up to $150 million. Minnesota had made a formal offer to the top free agent pitcher but Darvish’s camp wanted clubs to stretch the deal to six years. The Cubs were willing to make that jump.

Now that Darvish picked another club, Minnesota’s front office is going to have to act fast. There will likely be a domino effect with the first big name comimg off the board. That being said, there are a couple of different paths the Twins could take to solidify their rotation.

It was a rough night for the Minnesota Twins, as they were walloped 10-1 by the Tampa Bay Rays. For the better part of seven innings, this game was a pitchers’ dual, but it quickly turned into a route in favor of the Rays.

The Twins have played two of their best games of the season to open this series against the Boston Red Sox. Last night it was the Eduardo Escobar show, tonight the Twins were led by excellent performances by both Max Kepler and from the bullpen. The Twins have clinched the series win and will go for what could be their first sweep of a three or four game series all season Thursday afternoon.
