We at Twins Daily are ecstatic that one of the three featured speakers at this Saturday's Winter Meltdown event will be Jacque Jones, who was a member of three division champion teams during his seven seasons in Minnesota from 1999 through 2005.

Generous samples of four varieties of Summit beer. It was so nice (and so accessible) that we made a critical tactical error. We had reserved a gorgeous room that overlooked the beer tasting with a cash bar – but nobody used it. We kept seeing couples go up there and then see the rest of us at the beer tasting and come and join us. I literally never stepped foot in that room once the event started. The bartender we had there must have been bored stiff.

Yesterday I posed a question for readers about Trevor May, noting his spectacular numbers as a reliever and pondering whether the Twins should view him as a solution to their bullpen needs going forward.

The comments section featured a lively discussion and there wasn't much consensus on the best course of action. One thing did appear to to be unanimous, however, and has for some time: No one seems to want Ricky Nolasco in the 2016 rotation, blocking May or any other talented youngster.

Today, I want to revisit something I wrote in a prior post. The subject (as so many things written by so many people has been) was centered around what the Twins should do with regard to Miguel Sano and Byron Buxton.

I’m ready for the Royals… I’m really not ready for much else right now. I’m riding Amtrak and sleep deprived as a result. Yeah… go ahead and try to sleep all curled up in a chair. Five-year-olds can do it… 50 year olds… not so much. Not sure what to think about because I’m not sure I remember how to think at the moment. Amtrak stressed Wi-Fi as a selling point when I bought my ticket… turns out that they don’t have Wi-Fi on this train. On others they do… but not this one. So the following thoughts are the ramblings of a guy running on no sleep and no way to verify those ramblings via the internet.

There's no arguing how bad the Twins have been this season. Even through all the mucky mess on the field, Brian Dozier has emerged as one bright spot in a sea of darkness.

The home runs and his recent hitting streak have kept him in the news. He's put up numbers that have never been seen before from a second baseman but is it enough to put him into the American League MVP conversation?
