Twins

During spring training, lots of focus is rightly or wrongly placed on questions facing the big-league roster. However, some of the team's top five prospects have questions to answer at the start of the 2023 campaign.

On Friday night, the Twins announced that All-Star closer Glen Perkins will not pitch again during the 2014 season due to a left forearm strain and nerve irritation. He will also not pitch during MLB's tour in Japan.

It's almost like Groundhog Day... We are going back in time to the beginning of the season and facing David Price in the series opener once again. I suppose that means that we will also face the top of the rotation once again. However... There is a difference... This Time we are at home and that should make all the difference in the world. The Twins vs. the White Sox

It's not just an important game for the Twins. It's important for the White Sox as well.

We can all talk about playoff contention for the Twins because it's so obvious just being 1 game back. However... it's not like the White Sox are out of it. The Twins would be silly to focus all that attention on the Rangers and it would be silly to focus on any of the other teams in striking distance. Too many to keep track and too many possibilities. All the Twins can do is focus on themselves.
