Twins Video
Jordan Gore grew up in South Carolina. After high school, he went to the University of South Carolina. After two years, he transferred to Coastal Carolina where he was part of a College World Series championship. In 2017, he was the Twins 19th round draft pick as a shortstop.
He spent the 2018 season in Cedar Rapids, playing around the infield. In 2019, he jumped up to Double-A Pensacola where he was the team's shortstop through the first half of the season, until Royce Lewis arrived. At that point, he returned to a role of playing around the infield.
Blessed with a strong arm, he got into a couple of games on the mound and was hitting 95 mph consistently. Toward the end of that 2019 season, he went back to Ft. Myers and worked to develop as a pitcher. That is his role going forward. Unfortunately, the 2020 season was a missed season, so we'll discuss how that transition is going and much more.
