1) Looks like the Phillies are giving Ben Revere a try in center. Anyone recall how he got on their roster? :)

2) A couple of guys in our starting lineup are getting another chance before the AAA bus leaves the depot.

3) Try not to miss me too much - I have to leave after posting thi...

A week before the real games begin and I still haven't renewed my MLB tv subscription. Somebody give me a reason to renew*.

*=answers need not be serious.

I heard they were ditching nexdef for some other kind of plugin. That is supposed to take effect on opening day.

edit: Serious answer, the Phils have 2 hooters ball girls shagging foul balls today. No, seriously. Hooters girls.

I'm not really speaking to the quality of the broadcast as I'm speaking to the quality of the team. Although, not watching them in stop motion would be a step up.

Were those 2 throws by Hicks really bad?

Could you tell what he was trying to do?

Bad throws or bad decisions?

First throw sailed badly

2nd throw was about 5 feet up the 1st base line (no hop), Pinto just didn't catch it.

3rd throw was about 4 feet up the 3rd base line, one hop, Pinto caught it in time to get the runner.

Decision was good on all of them.

I will argue on the decision part for the first throw. It was so bad that the announcers thought they might get hit. Who knows what he was actually trying to do. Definitely trying hard to impress I think. 2nd throw was a team gaffe. It didn't seem like anyone was in the right position to receive the throw and potentially stop the hitter from advancing. 3rd throw was good.

The Phil's pitcher is making the Twins look special ed. One person takes advantage of his mistakes and so he pulls out a pitch he hasn't used much to start eating people up. Curveball at first, 2 seam in on lefties next, and just now the changeup. Each time people have looked confused as to what just happened.

The Phils hitters are starting to key in on Hugh's pitches. Things are getting hit hard. Stuff is getting left up. Curveballs getting overthrown. It's not promising. No adjustments on Hugh's part.

I stopped using nexdef last year and just switched to using Chrome. It ran better that way. It's been working pretty well this year. I just watched the last game on my PS3, and that worked well. Mlb.tv app on android is looking good, but I have 4G so that helps.

Hooters girl just gave the twins a ground rule double by making a nice play. I didn't think she knew how to use that glove.
