John Sickels over at minorleagueball released his top 75 prospects today. Here are the Twins who made it.

1) Buxton

3) Sano

33) Stewart

53) Meyer

65) Rosario

Honorable mention- Pinto

The 5 who made it isnt really surprising. Some might argue Stewart is too high while Meyer is too low but either way they both look like studs. The Lastros and Cubbies each had 6 prospect make the list while the Twins and Red Sux had 5.

Oh come on now. Sano is better than Boegarts. I get that elite shortstops are rare, but position value between SS and 3B seems to be pretty close. I find myself disagreeing a lot with this. For a guy who liked Rosario since HS, you'd think he'd give him a little more credit. I'd put Eddie in front of Meyer and 65 just feels too low when he's consistently been making top 50s elsewhere. Scratching my head at why he'd put Meadows and especially Frazier ahead of Stewart. All HS players and Stewart is the best athlete of all 3. Dropping Bauer that much seems too ridiculous this early. He's a top 10 prospect at the beginning of the year and a poor season gets him sent to 74 when there's still #1/#2 potential.

I think every time John posts about Stewart he says "still the top high school pitcher to come out of the draft". Up until last year he never ranked hitters and pitchers on the same list, he felt they were too different skill sets to directly compare. Because of the limited action and SSS, most guys from the last draft don't move up or down the lists too much, so if he liked Frazier ahead of Stewart at the draft (and we're talking Frazier 4th and Stewart 5th) that would hold true until next year. There are exceptions thou, Meadows this year, Barrios improved his stock last year.

My guess is Meyer will get a +B/ board line -A grade from Sickels (With a change to a true -A if he has a strong AFL). Where Rosario will be ranked a straight B+ and the 2nd/3rd best 2B prospect in the game.

Sickles only gives out about 30 As, so I don't see Meyer on John's border for this one. I do hope I'm wrong. I do agree that strong AFL performance might make him rethink that, though truth be told, Meyer won't be "young" for this league.

I could see that. Ranked 53 and 30 A- to A grade wouldn't make him board line. But if the big knock him is his health and he shows he's healthily and dominate, that could push him to the bottom of the A- IMO.
