Parks loves Buxton ("Simply put, Buxton is a superhero, showing all would-be contemporaries and spectators that they are mere mortals and insufficient next to his special baseball powers.") but I thought his words on May were nice, too. I think some might be worried about #4 innings eating pitcher but I think that's a good thing and not meant to insult May, who I think ends up pitching a ton of innings for us, saving the bullpen and having occasionally dominating days. I'm still a big fan of his.

I 100% agree on May. While he isn't a #2 like they used to think he would be but an innings eater #4 who can actually strike people out is pretty valuable.

An innings eater #4 guy that strikes out people for the normal team is an Ace to #2 guy in MN! So I guess it is based on perspective

Just imagine in Kevin Correia was allowed to assume his natural role as a bottom of the rotation starter here. He ain't too shabby for a 4-5 guy, but because the rest of the rotation is a disaster, he suddenly is put in a role he shouldn't be, and people hate on him because he ain't a 1-3 stud.
