Is Brian Dozier the only reason to continue watching the Twins this season?

There's not one other player on the entire team that you can sit and get excited about the future, the present, or the past. It's unfathomable that we could put together a roster of career minor leaguers like we have in Bernier, Thomas, Colabello, Albers, , etc.

Seriously, someone give me a reason to be excited to watch a game in September.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new OF, Presley, acquired for Morneau. I'd also like to see how Colabello and Albers do and see if they can be contributors next year. And, Arcia if he gets healthly.

Arcia, Mauer, Pelfrey and some of the bullpen are reasons to watch and be excited as well.

Additionally if hammer can start hitting again it gives some hope for 2014 as well.

I always watch the starting pitching auditions this time of year. I can't help thinking back to Terry Ryan's first successful rebuild when my family got together and watched Kinney, Lohse, and Santana all pitch back to back.

I remember doing the same thing a couple years ago and watching Swarzak, Diamond, and Duensing.

To see if Florimon and Colabello can get to 10 HR this season and if either or both get called back up Parmelee and Hicks too.

To see if all members of the bullpen finish the season with an era under 4.00.

To see how Pelfry finishes out the season as I bet we resign him over the winter.

Pinto and Arcia developing

More Mauer post concussion catching again and throwing out base stealers and hitting .350 + the rest of the season since his legs are fresh.

Battle for bench spots next year with Pinto vs Herman, Thomas vs Hicks vs Mastroianni vs Presley vs Wilkins, Plouffe vs Parmelee vs Colabello ....

Can Corriea hit 190 innings this season? .....stay tuned

but seriously, you should watch because you might see something that you might have never seen before. Like the other day when the Twins had no business winning that game against Darvish and a couple blast later there they are shaking hands.

Baseball, its a beautiful game

Korea is a couple good starts away from being sub 4 ERA. Pretty surprising.

Pinto is a reason to watch. Arcia. Mauer - any at-bat is worth watching (who doesn't like watching future HOF'ers?) Watch Perkins get a couple more saves. Can Burton right the ship?

will Sano get called up? Clete Thomas! Darin Mastrionni! Chris Colabello! Doug Bernier! Do we need more reasons? Maybe I'll just go watch the Yankees or Mets on the weekends....

There's always something to watch. I'm really excited to see Pinto and hope he shows he is ready to contribute in "the Show". I hope Arcia returns soon. Dozier is having the best sub-.250 season that I can recall from a Twin or a middle infielder. Perkins is having a great season and Duensing has had a nice comeback from his mid-season struggles. The starters have shown something the past couple of weeks. The Twins are using too many pieces of deadwood, but there is a lot to watch.

You are a Twins fan. That's why you should watch the games.

This.

I'm going to be in Minnesota at the end of September on vacation - my first one back since I moved to Idaho. And I have a ticket to the last game of the season, against Cleveland.

I am looking forward to it immensely. I don't care what their record is. I don't care what the names are on the backs of their uniforms. I'm going to the game and I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it because it is Twins baseball.

Yes, 3 consecutive losing seasons is frustrating; I'm not saying there aren't valid reasons for critique (although I personally think this becomes excessive on some of the forum threads - still, venting frustration is usually a good thing;)). But at the end of the day I am a Twins fan and I'm going to watch because it's my team. They are a part of my extended "family." And like all family, you have to love them even when they drive you crazy sometimes.

I think it's more like...why take time away from other things to make time for the Twins. With football coming, new fall shows, school starting etc. There are a lot of reasons to put the Twins pretty far down the priority list. There sure aren't a lot of reasons to lift them up the list.
