I think I'm already his biggest cheerleader. We've reached man-crush stage I think.

I was just looking at his numbers, and other than a small SLG drop (which might have more to do with his first week in transition), his numbers are nearly identical to FTM. I suspect he'll be playing in MN sometime next year.

From the surface Rosario looks to me like he has the contact ability of Rod Carew with more power. His ceiling might be a .320 BA with 10-15 HR and 30 2b. I'm not sure if he'll develop the patience Carew did, but he has shown some ability to walk. His 2012 numbers in Beliot are looking pretty realistic right now. Some guys can just hit, and I think Rosario might be one of them. Its going to be hard to keep him off the roster.

Is Robinson Cano a reasonable comp for Rosario? Eddie has generally out-hit Cano at comparable stages through the minors, although Cano was a year younger following the same path (eg Cano played at A and AA as a 20 yo).

Cano's power didn't really show up until 4-5 years into his Major League career (averaged about 15 HR in his first 4 years) - I'd be more than happy if Rosario can follow a similar track.

Like many others on here I've got a season ticket on board the Rosario bandwagon.

To follow my earlier post:

Robinson Cano:

Age 19 A-/A .276/.319/.437 15 HR 33/86 BB/K

Age 20 A/AA .277/.322/.374 6 HR 26/65 BB/K

Age 21 AA/AAA .283/.339/.457 13 HR 42/67 BB/K

Eddie Rosario:

Age 20 A .296/.345/.490 12 HR 31/69 BB/K

Age 21 A+/AA .322/.374/.504 9 HR 31/63 BB/K (so far)

Rosario stacks up pretty well thus far.
