Where's the fun?

Been thinking about the development of the younger players on this team and Gardenhire's recent admonition to them to have fun. Does anybody have a feel for where the fun might come from on this team?

In the past the Twins have had guys like Redmond and Cuddyer to keep them loose. Does anybody have a feel for who might do that for this team?

Perkins seems like the most likely source to me. Veteran, fairly secure in his position and seems to have a pretty outgoing personality (at least from his tweets, blog posts, etc.)

Was told in advance that Vanimal would bring a little craziness but if he is doing so, its in AAA.

I think Gardenhire had a point about loosening up and enjoying themselves (even in the midst of another horrific season) but it looks to me like they are going to have to "manufacture" a little fun. I know they have the usual card games, betting pools, etc. (Minnesota Twins: Josh Roenicke's teams just keep winning » Twins Now)

But does anybody know who the characters are might loosen it up a bit?

I've always thought this was an important lesson to keep in mind, not just for baseball but for all spectator sports. Yes, for professional players this is their livelihood - this is how they put food on the table, and that is always going to be a concern.

But, to quote Tom Selleck in Mr Baseball, "Baseball is a game, and games are supposed to be fun." If you don't enjoy what you are doing, you will have a hard time doing it well. That's true in any profession/career/job. Hope they can find the answer.
