Favorite Baseball SONG.

I know that Tom Petty's songs aren't baseball songs necessarily, but they always remind me of baseball. Anytime I go to a game he's who I play on my Ipod. Also, Hal Ketchum's "Small Town Saturday Night" was played before everyone of my high school games, so it instantly reminds me of baseball. Thanks for introducing me to "Don't call them Twinkies." It's a surprisingly good song, unlike the song they introduced in 2010-- GB Leighton's "Twins Territory" about made me sick!

Here are a couple more worth mentioning:

Van Lingle Mungo - It's not really among my favorites (it's a bit slow), but the lyrics are just names of old-time baseball players and it's pretty interesting. It was written by Dave Frishberg from St Paul - I only know this because my father knew him from their school days. Apparently Frishberg also wrote "I'm Just a Bill" from the Schoolhouse Rock series, which is pretty awesome.

Talkin' baseball (Willie, Mickey, and the Duke) - More old baseball names, great song

For me,

quickly became my favorite baseball-themed song. How about you guys?
I love the spirit of the song, but I just can't stand Craig Finn's voice.

I can't say that I have a favorite song about baseball. They all end up sounding kind of cheesy to me.
