Twins placed 3B Trevor Plouffe on the 15-day disabled list with a left calf strain.

Plouffe was just activated from the 7-day concussion disabled list on Wednesday, but suffered a calf strain and will now need to miss another 15 days. Jamey Carroll figures to get most of the playing time at third base during his absence.

Twins recalled 1B/3B Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester.

Colabello was just sent down to the minors on Wednesday, but he's eligible to return now that Trevor Plouffe has returned to the disabled list. The 29-year-old journeyman is 1-for-11 in five games with the Twins this season.

The last time I thought I smelled a sweep we got crushed, so all I officially smell right now is my wife's venison roast.

I guess you're free to call it whatever you want.

Man oh man, RB, you ARE a little "frisque" tonight, are you not?

Now Now... I admit the roast has me interested. For Westgaard... I was just wondering how special the father daughter moment was.

If she is 1 year or younger... She becomes something to hang on to with one arm while you try to catch a baseball with the other arm.

if she is between 1 and 5... She becomes someone that gets everything she wants from the vendors as they patrol the aisles.

If she is between 6 and 12... She becomes someone that you can talk about baseball with and point out nuances and you get to answer a lot of simple questions.

If she is over 13... She becomes someone you have to tell to put the cell phone down because she is distracting you.

4 1/2.....she loves going to the twins games with daddy!

See Jokin... This is what life is about. Nothing better.

Westgaard... Bring your wallet... She's gonna want Cotton Candy and Peanuts and stuff.

She's actually pretty good....she just sits and watches the game mostly...we usually walk all over during the middle of the game...and she know she gets two treats, one at the beginning of the game and one usually about the 6th.

She always gets Angie's KettleKorn and then it's either cheese curds, a malt cup or cotton candy.

I'm a little jealous... I have Two Mostly Grown Boys (19 and 15).

Age 4 thru 6 were the best. They said funny things and they run full speed into stuff for our entertainment.

Ahhh memories. My kids usually deferred to dad, letting me watch the game without distracting me too much (they never were that much into baseball). My oldest took me to a game for Father's Day a few years ago. My youngest has met me for games the last two years. She thought Mauer was "dreamy" until he got married. My "baby" is 27, my oldest is 35.
