Article: Ramirez to 7-Day DL, Herrmann recalled

Has anyone noticed how James Beresford is raking it in New Britian? Is he totally off of the Twins radar? It is interesting how we bring up Aaron Hicks who batted .286 in a season at AA and the Twins talk about how he had a blowout season. I just find Beresford's performance interesting because of the fact that the Twins are lacking production at second base also. Another point is that whenever the Twins talk about their future second baseman, they always mention Rosario.

I'm not a big defender or critic of the Twins training staff (primarily because I don't claim to be an expert about training), but I have some experience with concussions. They are too hard to diagnose to make complaints about this. What looks like a concussion can fade away quickly, and what seems to be a small issue can linger a long time. I think what we've learned about concussions is recent years is largely that we didn't know half as much as we thought we did. Being conservative here makes sense.

And we aren't exactly keeping Barry Bonds off the field here, either.

Yeah, that is true. He sorta has to hit well because he isn't going to slug and his ISO numbers are the same this year as his career numbers. This is much like Ben Revere, but of course JB has the advantage of being in the middle infield. Speaking of, he really projects to be a SS. I think the Twins know he can play there and so they are letting Santana sink or swim at SS before likely flipping them.

I don't understand letting center field depth leave. Ramirez is not a center fielder. Thomas is not a center fielder. Richardson is a journeyman. Morales hasn't played above single A. WTF?

Don't get me started. Just don't.
