I really thought Worley was a number 3/4 type.......totally sold a bill of goods. I should never read anything from the Twins or Strib when it comes to assessing players. Ever.

To be fair, his numbers prior to surgery were decent, so many of us thought the same. He hasn't been able to reproduce them, though.

Question - Does Worley have any options left? If so, send him down when Deduno comes up and worry about Worley's replacement over the weekend. Preferably Gibson.

Pretty sure he does. This sounds like a plan other than they may need to go to a 13 man staff.

Liam Hendriks doesnt look so bad now fellas

He never did to me considering the other options. He got demoted for poor performance. He currently has the 2nd best ERA and WHIP of the six starters the Twins have used this year and after another start or two Correia will pass him in both catagories making Hendriks #1.

Does Gardy still have the boys battling their tails off or have they given up?

How long can the front office go with this before making a change?

A lot longer than you'll like, would be my guess.

Anyone, not named Mauer, over 30 should be off this roster, should have been last year. Call up any AAA or AA close to ready. Blow it up like Worley or Pelfrey is your pitcher....

I would settle for reasonably average.

This has to be the cry uncle game... doesn't it???

8 game losing streak... 8 runs given up by Worley in what has been a long line of below average starts from the starters during thr losing streak... Only Correia and Diamond despite their recent starts can claim average results for the year.

Bats have gone Ice cold team wise. Defense has been non inspirational.

This has to be the game where the front office says OK... We gotta do something large.

If we're playing the cry uncle game, the front office is saying, "Haha, we win!"

Worley has options... Send him down. Pelfrey needs to be DL'ed for the hangnail that he doesn't have. Bring up Gibson... Walters... Albers... I don't care... Bring in different arms... If they suck as well... Sign Terry Felton to a contract and see if he does better.

Give Pelfrey 3 starts off... And plop him back out there and see if he figured something out during that time.

Send a message... Something louder than bringing up Colabello cuz Plouffe got hurt... It should be calling up Colabello even if no one got hurt.

Did we give 'em one of our pitchers to pitch this inning?

It's the MLB's cultural exchange program. It allows the downtrodden to experience playing for a major league team.

Twins optioned RHP Vance Worley to Triple-A Rochester.

No word yet on whether Kyle Gibson will be the choice to replace him, but don't count it out. The Twins acquired Worley from the Phillies over the winter in hopes that he would be a productive member of the starting rotation, but he has been anything but. After being knocked around for eight runs in 3 2/3 innings Wednesday by the Braves, the 25-year-old has an ugly 7.21 ERA across 10 starts. If Worley can turn things around in the minors, he figures to get another chance soon.
