MLB Pipeline Twins top 30

No one really ranked outside the consensus that I see.  They seem to like the young, high-variance international signings from the last few years.

I liked this blurb from Prielipp's scouting report:

Quote

He threw during instructs last fall, slowly building up to two-inning stints, and was electric in those outings. His fastball was up over 95 mph and he’s working to add more consistent movement and carry to the pitch. His double-plus slider was perhaps the best single pitch in his college class, a real weapon that can touch 90 mph and features two-plane break. He didn’t throw his changeup much at Alabama, but the Twins were pleased with how solid it looked and the low-80s sinking offspeed pitch could be at least average.

Could have been reported elsewhere but I hadn't heard anything on his work in instructs.  The velocity is encouraging; I don't think he had fully regained it in his pre-draft workouts.  With such a limited track record to go on, I'm looking forward to seeing him in action this year.

It is a solid list.  This could be the most impactful International signing crop we have seen since the Polanco, Kepler, Sano days.  In Short season ball (FCL) you have De Andrade, Cruz, Pena, Acuna, Mercedes, J Rodriguez, Nova and Churio. With that many bats already set in the system the Twins should be able to focus on pitching in the 2023 draft.

In A ball they have Olivar, A Pena and Agiuar, In High A Salas, E Rodriguez, Urbina. by 2025 there is going to be another big wave of prospects ready to break in.

Notable prospects no longer in the top 30 are Sabato, Cavaco, and Enlow.  Utility guys Helman and Rucker fall out as well.  Nice to see some higher upside players in the top 30.

The system is a bit light on the pitching side if you ask me as it is mostly dominated by bats.  Again hoping the Twins pick more arms than bats in the upcoming draft to try and round out the system.
