So, to those who've been able to watch the entire game, does the box score reflect how well Pelfry has pitched or has he gotten lucky?

I wish I could watch it. I have the radio on, and it's competing with my kid's tv program... lol

Are there any free tv games at all this year???

He has allowed only 5 hits. I don't recall him having been in any trouble..

I can't say he's pitched well, but neither has he been in trouble much. It's ugly, but effective.

That said, when he melts down, he melts down quickly. We need these insurance runs.

Well, at least you're not paying for an airport motel stuck in an intermediate city anyway.

Plouffe really hit that ball. The Twins certainly packed the hitting shoes from Boston. Maybe they can keep this up for a few months.

Well, Pelfrey's strategy of allowing long fly balls finally fell apart.

Bert says "That's a ball that probably should have been caught." You mean because it hit the pocket of Arcia's glove? Yeah, probably. That ball hit the glove with a clank like we heard off the Green Monster.

OK, this is the inning he usually begins to unravel - c'mon, Pelf, hold it together!

Yeah. If the bullpen is short one guy (Perk) already, and in the middle of a long sequence of games with no day off, it sure would be nice to have a starter get through the seventh.

Maybe Correia followed by Pelf isn't ideal.

I've got a date with my wife tonight. It should last approximately two weeks, so my presence here on this site will be sparse-to-none during that time.

At the very least change your avatar to one of the better ones for us.

Okay, so I appreciate moving the runner from 2nd to 3rd when the score is close--like in the 2nd and 3rd inning, but I'm not so sure about that approach in the 6th, when down by 6 runs. My sense is that Dickbert are playing old tapes that no longer fit the current stategy. Baltimore seems more focused on hitting doubles than hitting to the right side of the infield. Thoughts?
