"They're coming home after a tough road trip where they faced three winning American League teams in the Tigers, Indians, and Red Sox and managed to win five of ten games against three good teams."

I recall some people saying that this past road trip would show what the Twins were really made of.

It's still early, but maybe the early success was not an anomaly - this team might be a .500 club for real.

If the Twins continue to hang around .500 I may not stop saying "it's early" until mid-September.

At this point, if I had a time machine I'd bet the house on the Vegas over/under line for Twins wins. I'd probably do other things too, like take my money out of the stock market in early 2007 and reinvest it in 2008, but I'd definitely bet on the Twins.

So your saying... If you had a Time Machine... Your usage of it would be based upon financial gain.

I think we know how you roll now;)

I got a Graduation dinner to attend tonight and I'm not sure how long that will last. I'll probably miss the beginning of the game.

For the Game Threaders I just want to say... The Romantics once wrote...

"What I like About You... You Really know how to Dance"

I'm sure that dancing ability will cure all the evils that crop up and the basis of a long term relationship has been formed.

It was Billy Squier who said "Lonely is the Night... When you Find yourself alone"

I have nothing to add to that line.

With sufficient financial gain, the other ways we each roll become a great deal easier.

I've got a date with my wife tonight. It should last approximately two weeks, so my presence here on this site will be sparse-to-none during that time.

If I had a time machine, I for one would go back in time and right wrongs and make the world a better place.

However, if in the process of that, I just happened to pass a vendor of lottery tickets...

Might as well sell short.

"Two Weeks"... That's funny.

Sounds like she has chosen the venue.

North and South Carolina. The date starts with a romantic dinner of "cleaning out the refrigerator of all the leftovers", followed by the theater spectacle of packing the suitcases, and getting to bed for an early flight time. After that, it should get better.

However, others might be harmed by you righting what you perceive to be wrongs. I'm merely taking advantage of financial transactions freely offered by others who have gain as their only motive.

I didn't say those were the only things I would do with a time machine. I do confess those were the things I thought of first, though.

'Should' being the operative word.

Glen Perkins is unavailable on Friday due to soreness in his left side.

The 30-year-old lefty has pitched fairly well to this point in the season, posting a 3.55 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 20/5 K/BB ratio through his first 12 2/3 innings while converting all eight of his save chances. Consider him day-to-day for now. Jared Burton would likely draw any save chances while Perkins is out.

His left side? That includes the rotator cuff, the UCL, the hamstring, the ACL, the pinkie toe... . Maybe it all went bad all at once.
