I just read Kiley McDaniels top 100 for ESPN.  I enjoy these like I do TDs rankings.  His has a lot of difference from Law.  We have 4 players - Lee, Lewis, Rodriguez and Salas in his top 100, all in the bottom half, but what really jumped out was seeing Povich (now an Oriole) ranked higher than all four.  How high did he get in TD ranks?  He was #54.

Rodriguez ranks much higher for Law - #48. So does Lee - #51.  Povich, Lewis and Salas are not on the Law list.

Law also says that Rodriguez could be a top-10 prospect by midseason. But that's probably news for a couple of days from now, I guess.

I just want to point out Dalton Shuffield had quite a debut season. 10th round pick in 2022 and playing is St Paul by the end of the season. Probably to small of a sample to get to excited about but I wanted to throw his name out there.

I had completely forgotten about him.  He's actually got some pretty solid numbers (including college ball).  Could be a fun watch this season.

College bats should advance more quickly, but Shuffield certainly did well, jumping that many levels. It will be interesting to see what he does with more reps. Might be small sample size, might be diamond in the rough. (sadly, it's usually small sample size, but rooting for him!) I certainly didn't expect much from him, but I love it when guys take advantage of their opportunities. Curious to see where he starts the season and what position he plays.

He was only in St. Paul at the end of the year because the Saints needed a player at that position and Wichita was in the playoffs. Mikey Perez did the same thing in mid-season. Shuffield played well but he will probably start the season at High A.

Yeah, I knew it had something to with injuries and Wichita. But wanted to point out that he played well. If he makes it back to the Saints this season, he might earn his way into the top 30.
