Rumor: Michael A. Taylor added via trade

This offseason is starting to look like the FO's best so far. I was really down on them a month ago. Running out of guys who MAY pass through waivers is a sign of a good roster. Huge insurance policy for Buxton and RH OF to boot.

As for the trade both BP arms with some upside. They both could come back to haunt the Twins. But I like the move.

I love this team's position flexibility. They truly have a lot of guys who can go so many places. It seems like a logjam now, but after the first wave of injuries come, we will still be able to put a quality product on the field.

LF - Gallo, Larnach, Lewis (July), Wallner, Kiriloff, Farmer

CF - Buxton, Taylor, Gallo, Lewis (July), Farmer

RF - Kepler, Gallo, Wallner, Taylor, Kiriloff, Farmer

And this doesn't even include prospects coming up later! Or Celestino. Great job by this front office planning for a realistic season, not an ideal one.

They finally got an outfield RH bat!!  I like the glove and the speed.  Gallo can play CF on days Buxton DH's or sits.  Taylor the same.  This has been the best offseason this F.O. has had.  Pray the rosary for good health!  :)

meh this move doesn't really impress me that much.

This has been an impressive off season due to FA (Correa and Vasquez ( I contend catcher was our biggest need going in to the off season) and Taylor - all really good to great up the middle defenders plus another really good defender in Gallo) and trades (Lopez and Farmer)) ,  and at the same time minimizing distractions (Sano) and minimizing health risks (Arraez) and  achieving healing time  for previously acquired good players to heal (Lewis and Mahle, Maeda, Acala).  The FO may achieve more this off season, but I am so impressed with what has been accomplished this off season. Well done FO and ownership.

And possibly the extension of Paddock will bring about some good results down the road.

After many years of advocating for true CF back ups, we now have 3 (Taylor, Gordon & Celestino) to back-up Buck. Where we don't even need our very good corner OFers Gallo & Kepler there & keep Lewis in the INF. It's better to have excessive than not enough at CF. Once Kepler start to put up better #s & when Gallo usefulness is up in June(?) we can trade them if we can get something we need in return.

I'd adventure to say that we probably have the best CF as well as OF in MLB. I'm still not in favor of playing Buxton a lot at DH.

Good glove, not a great hitter.

So right as his hitting needs a major change. I would have brought up one of our top prospects for a good look as rookies playing in the Majors show what they are made of. We always have a secondary plan in the outfield.
To me I see Byron injuries way to many times.. is sad because I love him and he is a standup guy on and off the field.

I'd rather have Gordon than Taylor. Taylor has experience but isn't any better than what we already have and takes a spot away from a youngster who should get ML experience. He doesn't hurt us except in that way. As for Celestino, I'm not confident that he will get much better though I like his hustle.

Pick two guys out of each group that you have faith in while at the plate. Can't do it.  That's our problem. I wouldn't worry about our pitching, although our BP could be a little stronger,  it's that everyday line up that scares me! Where is the concern out there for the lack of improving our line up? Gallo and Taylor? Not going to cut it.
