Vote for your favorite team to win if you believe….

What if I sincerely believe the Twins haven’t done enough to win the division? They won’t go from most injuries in MLB to fewest, or even average. Likely still among the most injuries.

Is an upgrade at utility infielder, Catcher and some improved health enough to push this team 10+ wins? Probably not.

I think the AL Central is going to be the best division in baseball this year based on the new schedule and the lessening of Covid shots.  With renewed health, the Twins will win the Central but will be a dogfight with all central teams being above .500.  This is what my crystal ball tells me.

1. Twins 103-59

2. White Sox 100-62

3. Guardians(that's right, I said Guardians)  95-67

4. Royals 89-73

5. Tigers 85-77

Now granted, my crystal ball fell off the table a couple of weeks ago and broke into many pieces, and it has taken me this long to glue it all back together.  I may have gotten a few pieces put back in the wrong places,  so there is that.

Edit:  My post used the former nickname for the Cleveland team.  It was changed to Guardians by some unknown bot.  Can we not even type the Guardians anymore?

LOL, it did it again.  I meant Guar—di--ans!!!!!

Yep, we have both word filters in place and moderators will actively change the name away from the old moniker.

Don't die on this hill, it's ridiculous.

With the addition of Lopez, they've got enough to grind it out. If not for their bad luck against CLE (1-9 in 1 run games VS CLE) last year they'd have won the division.

I don't see CLE getting worse, but they aren't really 'better' than the Twins. Outside their head to head matchups, the Twins were 72-71. CLE was 79-64. That includes the garbage time period from Sep 20th where they went 5-9 against such good opposition as KCR, DET and CHW.

The Twins were ahead until the very end when the injuries to the rotation finally beat them. Plus, I don't see them going 0-10 against Houston and the Dodgers again. How fluky is that?  even 3-7 leaves them at .500.

Obviously, I wouldn't change any of it now, since they were too depleted to participate in the post season anyway. They literally did in two weeks what a bunch of franchises built their season around (tanking for the draft lottery) and got a big pick jump. Carlos re-signed and they deepened their pitching. All in all pretty good.

The team is definitely better on paper than the squad they put out there last year, so yeah, I think they should win the division. That being said, no reason to pick them on a poll.
