Tom Brady retires again. He says for good this time. We will see. The NFC South has some bad, bad QBs.

With Brady out of the picture, the top veteran QBs to target are Rodgers, Carr, and dare I say Kirk?

Aren't we in cap hell? Isn't Cousins untradeable?

San Fran DC DeMeco Ryans named HC of the Texans. Love this move. Ryans is a stud and former Texans great!

I wanted an offensive minded coach last year, but Ryans did make me consider the opposite. That organization seems pretty dysfunctional, hope he gets the right QB and OC and they turn things around despite that.

Great hire. I really hope they hire some additional upstart position coaches who can pick up the slack if Flores turns this around and gets a HC job next year.

If he does get a HC gig next year he likely turned our defense from a 31st ranked team to top 15.

Imagine if Philly had taken him .....

Literally the only player outside Darrisaw I care if they keep.

Or LV (Harry Ruggs) or Denver (Jerry Jeudy). We would be HATING the Diggs trade as much as the Moss trade if it were any other way besides Jefferson getting drafted.

As the Strib pointed out, Jared Allen got snubbed. As did Kevin Williams again. And the best KR/PR specialist of all time, Devin Hester.

Is there a reason I am missing that the Veteran's or Senior Committee hasn't enshrined Jim Marshall? Seems like a no-brainer to me...

I always disliked when they'd use a 1st round pick clearly to replace a big name lost the prior season. Troy Williamson to replace Randy Moss. Michael Bennett to replace Robert Smith. Bryant McKinney to replace Korey Stringer. It was always destined to make the new player have to fill huge shoes. And the 'We're just taking the BPA' always rings so hallow in those times.

So it's a great thing that the JJ pick actually was the BPA!

It rarely ever works out. Just ask the Titans GM that got fired for trading AJ Brown and taking Treylon Burks as the the replacement.

Yeah, so dumb. Doing this makes me think the GMs think WAY more highly of their draft skills than they should.

3 full seasons played before fixing his shoulder? Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions, but it looks like he’s getting prepared to pass a physical with another team…

That was my thought.

Dalvin and a 4th for a mid to high 3rd, that's my goal here......I'd do Dalvin and a 5th for a 4th, but I'd prefer the former.

I'd take anything for Dalvin, but man, there are so many free agent RBs this year, a team would have to be nuts or absolutely in love with Cook to part with a draft pick instead grabbing someone else or waiting for the Vikings to cut him.

I'm counting on someone being nuts, clearly. I agree, I'd not deal for him.....but I'd also not pay him this much if I'm MN. He's fun to watch, but they can't pay him this much.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder WT* is going to happen with Kirk and the QB position after this year.....

If a bunch of Cook/Thielen/Smith/Kendricks/Hunter get cut, it's hard to see Cousins and any of those guys that survive the cut making it the following year.

This team is going to have to do something untasteful to get their 2023 QB. To me the options seem to be to trade up for one in this year's draft, absolutely tank 2023 to make sure they get one in the 2024 draft, or do another good-not-great veteran free agent signing in 2024 None of those options are appealing to me, but the last seems like the worst one as far as building a championship caliber team is concerned.

Derrick Carr? I'd sign him for 25 million a year. But he's too risky for more, which I think he'll get

Signing Carr just seems like a Cousins redux to me. Neither are bad QBs, but neither are the kind that could put your team over the top. I just want to try winning with a top tier QB for once. I know, that SEEMS like a lot to ask, but I can name six I think unequivocally qualify and another 2-4 which are close, if not already in that group. I mean, 20%+ of the league has one, can't the Vikings EVER get one?
