This is kind of an unripe question. Give it a couple years and then speculate. Mostly I am posting because no one has mentioned Danny Thompson, a fav back in the day and Bert’s old roommate on the road.

Also, not claiming Leo Cardenas was the best, but sooo steady, with a solid bat.  Thompson’s 1972 season was promising enough that it almost helped us forget Leo.  The rest is pretty tragic history.
