I live in the Dayton area and was considering doing that also but in the end I couldn't get away.

I drove from Western Arkansas for it!

That and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Cleveland Art Museum and some other goofing around for five days.

I'd love to have another #2 starter. I can't see how that would be bad.

I get there are doubters, but people seem higher on a Marlins' pitcher that was worse last year.

Like I said in a previous post, I would welcome the addition...but wouldn't like seeing Arraez going away to bring him here.

Yep. We see trade scenarios on these pages frequently that are quantity of our fringe players for a quality/star player on another team. It doesn't work that way. Never has, never will. You have to give to get.

The other guys are no more in the business of getting fleeced on trades than we are.

Well if Arraez for Lopez ends up being the case... I have five thoughts.

1. I'll wait to make judgement when the off-season is over.

2. I thought we needed two big upgrades on offense with Arraez still on the roster. I think we will need 3 if Arraez is traded.

3. Once Arraez is gone. Christian Vazquez becomes the 2nd highest BA on the team.

4. Luis is fun to watch at the plate. Perhaps the hitter I looked the most forward to.

5. If we acquire Pablo Lopez and we already have Jorge Lopez... We might as well go get Reynaldo from the White Sox and corner the market.

It was driving me crazy wondering how our Arraez die-hards were going to react.

Ted was also cited in MLBTR’s Vazquez news. He might have had both articles ready to roll and submitted the wrong one by mistake.

So the move isn’t imminent?

This was on TD's FB page ...

"Hi friends. Earlier we briefly published (and quickly deleted) a story suggesting Luis Arraez had been traded to Miami. You probably didn't see it, but we still wanted to quickly explain and
apologize. Our site policy is to write article "shells" for rumors we feel have legs, so we can quickly update and publish when news breaks to let people start discussing right away. In this case, when the Christian Vázquez signing broke, we accidentally published the wrong story, then corrected the error. The Arraez/Marlins rumors aren't exactly a secret, but we have no reason to believe such a
trade is imminent or set to happen at all. Again, we apologize for the miscue and will make sure it doesn't
happen again. Thank you!"
