Excellent article Seth. This takes some of the sting out of today's loss to the Indians. And it will be great if Deduno can pitch well tomorrow.

4 pitchers starting on Sunday in the organization, all 4 directly relevant to the present, and very near future of the major league club. While May is positioning himself for a sooner than later promotion, the position player breakouts are also fast becoming fodder for speculation of their own advancements. Do Petterson and Polanco have what it takes to inevitably challenge those (say by sometime in 2014 or 15) currently blocking them for a major league spot?

 

The minor league show is fast becoming more interesting, intriguing and entertaining than the major league club. Kudos to you, Seth, and all the other TD writers for your in-depth coverage.

jokin hit it on the head. 4 pitchers in the spotlights. 2 could be up shortly, one next year and one the following. The minors are fun to watch this season!

 

I like all four pitchers yesterday, and now on Sunday, we'll be watching Deduno, Meyer, De Vries and Berrios. Two top prospects and two guys that will likely factor into this season.

Another two weeks in the books and Buxton's walk rate is holding 19%. I am trying hard not to get too excited but elite plate discipline was the one skill I did not dare hope he'd have at this stage of his career. Of course, low-A pitchers are not likely in and around the plate as much as the pitchers he'll face up the ladder but I am still very happy to see that he controls his strike zone.
