Now that we had our test run last season, we are looking forward to getting this moving forward soon!

Topic suggestion(s): rule changes being implemented in the 2023 season

I think this is a good suggestion, although I think we could break this into two topics:

Pitch clock: pro or con

Ban the shift: pro or con

If you or anyone else would be interested in these, please PM me privately. DO NOT RESPOND PUBLICLY EITHER WAY. We want to keep all identities anonymous through the debate.

Topic suggestion: "New school vs Old school"- could do things like starting pitcher average start length (pulling pitchers early vs letting them work out of it), or HRs and OBP vs sac bunts and steals. I'm sure there's plenty of other "old school vs new school" topics, but those are the 2 I think come up most often on these forums.

Topic Suggestion: Should the Twins to full win-now mode this season and next season or go into a small rebuild year?

I think this would be a good topic because we are at a crossroads this off-season. We have the money available to sign a big name like Correa or an SP. We can make moves in free agency that I think would make us a playoff team.

On the other hand though we have prospects like Royce Lewis, Brooks Lee, Austin Martin (currently tearing it up in the fall league) on their way up. We also have many young SP’s although unproven. We could trade away guys like Polanco, Kepler, Urshela for even more prospects as well.

Topic Suggestion: Traditional batting lineup construction (https://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Batting_order as a reference) vs. Along the lines of the modern pitching analytics, do you simply go by something like Total Bases/Plate Appearance (or some measure of "best hitters") and simply go 1-9 on the theory that you would maximize your best hitters PAs, and as such should maximize "production"

Very interesting topic there. Good suggestion!
