I basically traded Kepler for Marquez (CO). Kepler will love the ball travel there and SP Marquez should love to get out of CO a win/ win/ win/ win situation. I signed FA Omar Narvaez to SC duties I like very much his defense, his pretty good LH bat and $.

Revision notice Doc. Correa will opt out of his Twins contract, according to a PR newspaper. Are you suggesting signing him to a 10 year 330 million deal? If so, I agree.

Thanks Tarheel, I slipped to mention him as a FA signee, in my summary.

I like your blueprint, Doc. Thanks

If AK recovers and can play MLB he should be at 1B. I'd leave Arraez at DH for another year. Maybe he improves somewhere or a position opens up.

I see AK as a professional 1B. A player like that can save a good number of errors for the other infielders.

Also, please help me (serious request):

Why all the love for Celinistino? Yes, I like his defense, but he hasn't posted an OPS of .800 ever, at any level in pro ball. He had an OPS of .615 this year in MLB.

Thank you

I really can’t get on board with any roster with Kiriloff or Larnach pencilled into the starting lineup. Neither has proven anything at MLB level, and Kiriloff is a huge question mark. Correa will not sign with Twins and FO will not sign a high dollar SP. Celestino is not a MLB player.

Thank you Old Goat, most of Celestino's games were in CF, there defense is the most valuable ( games could be won or lost there). Celestino is sound in health (with the health of Buxton, Kiriloff & Larnach in doubt, it's good to know that you can depend on Celestino will be around) , he's a RH bat and he has very good defense, When Buxton started out his OPS weren't that great, Arraez's OPS isn't that great. Celestino's OPS was better before it dipped at the end but I see his OPS increases every year as he gets stronger & more aquainted w/ MLB, Arraez is not a slugger but he serves a purpose and so does Celestino.

I agree with you  but I left him off my roster because I think he needs to get some fundamentals straight at AAA, needs to know that he has to hustle and run bases correctly, plus I want him to gain some confidence in finding more power. Due to injury he has been gifted a MLB roster spot for two years. For being so young, he has done fine. I would prefer they bring him up after a month or two at AAA.

When Buxton, Larnach, Kiriloff & Gordon healthy, I'd concede and say that Celestino could use some time in AAA to start the season. Then have Garlic platoon against LHPing.

Celestino started the year by getting infield hits. Once the defenses adjusted they became less. Frequent and he finished out the year with an OPS near .550. Celestino could use time in AAA is an understatement
