Combined no hitters

I'm not quite sure what point of view is being expressed in the opening post.

I think a no-hitter is noteworthy. But what needs to be considered is the reason it is noteworthy in the first place, that reason being that a team almost always wins a game in which no hits are allowed.

I don't care at all whether a no-hitter is accomplished by one pitcher or by eight pitchers. I care more about how the manager handles the roster during a given game. If pulling a pitcher with a no-hitter increases the likelihood of winning the game then it's the right thing to do. If pulling a pitcher with a no-hitter increases the likelihood of winning the next game that pitcher starts (without decreasing the likelihood of winning the current game) then it's the right thing to do. It's all about what is best for the team and what is best for the pitcher(s) involved. Individual glory is fine, but team comes first.

I like no-hitters for the same reason I like clean innings from relievers.  Both are overkill, in terms of run prevention, because you can allow hits and still shut out the other team and win the game; even the shutout is somewhat overkill in terms of getting a likely win..  But the ability to frequently pitch clean innings, or once in a while flirt with (or achieve) a no-hitter, is an indicator that this pitcher is special, and this matters on the other days.  On those days that aren't so good, or maybe the luck isn't so good, he's got some ability in reserve to get out of a jam by retiring the next 3 batters; leave him in, he might be better than whoever else you would bring in anyway.

There is also some fortitude required to get through a full 9 innings that we don't see very often, and to the extent that teams can allow it to be tried with a pitcher in good health and going strong, I'm for it, just to let the pitcher tell the world that he's got the stuff.
