The tickets aren't expensive, but the increased prices were announced to season ticket holders at the beginning of August. The Twins have an auto-renewal system in place for season ticket holders right now and the ticket holder is required to provide a written opt out by the end of August. That necessitates ticket prices being determined mid-season. I suspect the increased prices are a result of the $155MM payroll and the increases in other operational costs.

I think that might be the raffle? I have utterly, completely, totally no interest in gambling so no clue.

I disagree. Tickets are expensive enough that I only budget to attend once a year.

They were routinely sold for $5 a seat in promos early this year. Guess we have different definitions of expensive.

Is that true for weekend games in the summer or just the crappy weather games when school is still in session? Do you actually get a seat or is that standing room only? I went to one game this season as part of a group. Tickets were $20 each for section T. It was nearly $200 for the 5 of us once I figured in parking and hot dogs from the "cheap" concession stand. We had to leave at the seventh inning stretch at 10:00pm (despite the 6:40 start time) because I had to get up and go to work the next day.

I usually attend if I don't have a conflict when work gets group discount tickets. That has cost $10-12 a ticket for the 330 sections.

I would actually like to attend Friday night to see Ohtani pitch. Unfortunately I already had plans to do something else. It also looks like it's $27 a piece if you want to get a seat where you can actually see the pitcher (upper deck behind home plate).
