What's all the gripe  ....

When Falvey took over he fired everyone in the system  and replaced every position  with top professionals in the industry  ...

His words not mine , what a crock

To be fair, many of that crop of coaches got poached by other teams

Yes , some did and one left mid season which I thought was lame ....

And without knowing WHY he left, it is not fair to blame him. Maybe he didn't care for the way Rocco and the FO were using their pitchers and decided he had enough. We'll probably never know.

This issue is THE #1 concern in my belief for the Twins.  I never understood how a 1st place team could lose it's put hing coach mid-season...unless there was a serious leadership issue.  That leads me to think Rocco and the front office need to hire a coach with plenty of MLB experience.  Historically, the Twins have not done well at developing pitchers, so they need someone who will bring an organizational change.

We know why he left. It had been reported on pretty thoroughly. You just don’t want to believe it because you only want to believe an answer that is nefarious

This was reported in pretty thoroughly at the time and it had nothing to do with the leadership

And we know that people always tell every reason to reporters. Yeah right. It wouldn't be the first time someone left a job and used an excuse or reason for leaving without revealing the main reason.

I truly believe the reason Wes left. Professional abseball is a whole new game. Spring camp, on-the-road too much. It is basically being a player again, and amazed at the guys who do it, but still have a family in a different state.

The Twins did bring in a lot more "college" coaches, for their training base and the minor leagues...as part of the game is dealing with players maturing. And the coaching ahs changed...more coaches on the staff in the minors, and the major league coaching bench has overblown...soon a personal coach for each player, right?

Plus, they aren't paid even as well as the minimum wage of a first year player. Yet they are supposed to tell the player, in the majors, what to do to succeed, or keep succeeding.

Agreed, there’s no evidence to believe Wes had other reasons, and several plausibility’s to believe Wes’ reason for making the decision he did.

it’s fun to speculate, but the simple explanation is the likely one considering what a grind that job is for relatively less pay.

This just came into my head after seeing what the Timberwolves did this off-season to in a sense overpay to bring in Tim Connley to help rebuild the Wolves.

Not sure what pitching coach I would like to poach to revive the Twins pitching for years to come.

Here's a novel suggestion. How about Wes Johnson? Make him an offer he can't refuse.

I would move to Louisiana if I were paid double my income and could be home with my family most nights.

It is the blessing and the curse of the internet. You get a chance to see what people think and how they look at the world

All I’m suggesting is to not turn it into some conspiracy it isn’t, and those doing it look for reasons to put it on Rocco or the FO. And that very well could be the case, but until anyone can provide actual evidence apart from their hatred of Twins management, and this spinning a narrative to support that, do some actual reading and investigating instead of spewing conspiracies

Yeah, pretty sure that most of us would be willing to accept a job where we were offered double the pay for about half of the work schedule and much less travel. Oh, and possibly less pressure and in a region of the country his family is from and he's worked his whole life.

Again, I don't know what people think the reasons for Johnson leaving are... but Johnson and Baldelli have a great relationship. Same with Maki. Same with all of the coaches.
