Every game is heart attack inducing. Good lord. It’s amazing we’re 6-1.

Not that it means anything but we won’t get respect nationally until we start soundly beating some of these weaker teams. Like Philly did to Pittsburgh today. Next week would be a chance to do that

Fun game, closer than it should have been. I think the refs were probably the worst crew we've seen so far. The defense does look like it's getting a better understanding of the new defense. And Peterson has been an absolute stud lately. Really, really surprising.

And Green Bay lost, again. On national TV. ?

Don't blame the O if they lose. 34 on the road should be enough.

Seems to me the problem isn't the scoring, it's that at the end of the games they look exactly like Zimmer's clubs. There is NO foot on the throat. The last two drives, when all they needed was a first down to seal the game, they run, run, predicable pass, punt.

I mean, I guess it's 'working' based on the W/L, but picking up first downs when you have the lead in the 4th is a better defense than the 11 guys they run out there on the conceded 3-and-outs.

I want to say their luck will run out, but dang, it really looks like MN and GB have switched karma this season. For three decades, GBs luck never seemed to run out until the second round of the playoffs.

I'd also like more passing there, but if the D was decent, the other team wouldn't be close at the end. The D just isn't good. Looking like ten to twelve wins to me and maybe one playoff win unless something changes.

They need a legit DL and to not play twenty years off the receiver..... But I'm not holding my breath. Buffalo smothered the GB receivers at the line. There is a reason they are better.

I don't like what I'm seeing from the defense, but watching from the stands, I have to say that some of the stuff I don't like almost looks intentional. They seem to ONLY be trying to contest catches on the sideline and over the middle when there's safety help. One-on-one I think they are intentionally letting the receivers catch the passes so they can bring them down and not chance having them slip behind them. The LBs also seem to be guarding the edges which is why when the RBs get past the DL, they get all the way to the safeties. I mean, the LBs are clearly the only strong part of the defense, there's little other reason the other team should be able to run as well as they do.

Bears have now unloaded Roquan Smith along with the Robert Quinn deal last week.

It always seemed weird that there weren't dozens of NFL trades at the deadline. Unlike the MLB, draft picks are the coin of the realm in this league. Maybe that's finally changing.

The main difference would seem to be that NFL playbooks are beastly, and depending on the position, it's probably asking too much for the new guy to be able to fall into place for the first few weeks.

Yes, but two weeks of learning is doable (also, if the Vikings do deal, they should have done it the week before so the player had time to learn).....one player can make a huge difference in the NFL.
