Win.  Pourous D.  New England special teams aided win.

Defense has to get healthy asap. That was a banged up and already weak New England offense who almost put up 30. We made a below average qb look really good. Uncharacteristic Bill B team making so many mistakes

I know there is a lot to improve on, but we are 9-2 and will likely clinch the division in 2 weeks.

@Squirrel, @ashbury thoughts on the game?

Nope. They won. Saw bits but have visitors this weekend. Typical thread. Pretty much reads the same as most of the Twins game threads.

Soooooo…… the defense is still terrible. CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENT ALERT:

Patrick Peterson is good again. How’d that happen? I’ll take it.

So weird. We’re used to seeing the Vikings D play well only to get conservative and crap the bed late in the game. Now it’s mostly the opposite. Mostly, not entirely.

Suffice to say next draft will be defense heavy? Several older guys on the tail end of their careers.

Happened to watch the game because we were with our two sons.  (Me and Mrs Ash, not Squirrel.). Both defenses stacked up against the run, daring the offenses to go to the air.  In the end that strategy worked the least well against a weapon like Jefferson.  Though when all is said and done you could view the kickoff return as the difference maker.  Good bounce back from last week's debacle.  I don't have Superb Owl aspirations, but never say never.

As long as it's the front seven. They completely dropped the ball with high picks in the secondary last year. Just like the last regime I guess.

Each year I become more and more convinced that 95% of good DBs are a product of the system. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to determining which ones will be any good, and maybe more than any other position except RB, there's less correlation between where they're drafted and how good they'll be.

This team just crushes it in the 4th quarter, consistently outplaying teams in one possession games. They simply don't implode like Vikings teams of the past, and O'Connell seems to have a firm grasp on the pulse of the team, turnovers that would usually submarine the offense don't and stupid penalties and bad clock management are mostly in the past. They're beating teams in the margins and kicking butt in the clutch... I thought the idea that Zimmer was the root of the problem was a fallacy, but dang they are way better without him, in a lot of subtle ways. The personnel is still questionable in a lot of spots and I don't see this team going on a deep playoff run, but it's been a fantastic first year for O'Connell.

That was one of the sloppiest games from a Belichick team, horribly coached on special teams, making simple mistakes, and really dumb penalties. I'm shocked he didn't blow a gasket on the sideline. How do you lose when you have a top 3 defense and Mac Jones dices the defense up for 382 yards?!

BTW, the Vikings have given up the 2nd most yards, 27th in yards per play. Offensively they're an underwhelming 22nd in yards per play... and yet they're winning games. I thought they'd be toast after a 4 day break from getting curbstomped, but here we are.
