any answer in the range 26-28 mph is probably pretty close, depending upon the exact conditions.

The faster a pitch comes in , the farther it goes when hit solidly; Garlick's homer went 373 ft. I wonder how far it would have had it been a 100 mph fastball.

I remember 8  or so years ago when Suzuki put a Chapman fast ball way up the 2nd deck.

Ryan's 10th win. In all of the Twins Rookie of the Year discussion, and the focus on advanced metrics, you still have to be in a position to win ballgames. Ryan has done that better than any other Twins pitcher. Duran? You have to win the first innings before you can win the last ones. Ryan's my ROY.
