Mauer had a lot of Sundays off.  I always thought, that the Twins being thought of as a 'regional team", it was unfair to those people who traveled on the weekends not to be ablr to see him play.  A lot of rural people, with limited funds, were very disappointed.

Wish I could like this a million times

A lot of catchers will sit a day game after a night game, which is usually the case on a Sunday.

I remember when I was kid, I came to stay a few days with my brother and his family.  We had box seats and it was going to be a rush to get to the Met before the game started.  I was already disappointed missing batting practice and infield.  Game started despite a light rain.  No Killebrew in the starting lineup.  This was not turning out to be a great time.  Game goes on, we're p[laying Oakland and we're down 2-1, bottom of the ninth.  All of a sudden Killebrew , appears on the on deck circle.  Fans are going nuts, and the stadium is shaking.  Like 2 or 3 pitches later, Killer hits a walkoff 2 run homer.   What a GREAT TIME!!!!!!!

About Mauer. There has been far too much whining about his injuries and contract. Sad commentary on those who participate.

This - Joe Mauer is almost universally among the top 10 catchers in baseball history (ranked #7 by Fangraphs resident expert HOF writer) and easily the best catcher in Senator/Twin history. Nobody who has ever clicked on this site will ever watch a better catcher play for the Twins in their lifetime.

Oh, and he will soon be #7 (Twins) in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

I just checked and saw that I will draw Ryan and Gray for the 2 games at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not motivated for the weekend in Anahiem with Bundy and Archer to probably go on Saturday and Sunday. I hope they play the "stars", even if they are pretty cold. That is why we go to the games.

Should probably get Mahle and Bundy in Anaheim.

Nick Willie Mays Hayes Gordon, All or ??

Willie Mays Hayes had one tool and it wasn't hitting.  Gordon's hitting .284 this year.  Not sure of the comparison you are offering.

True.  But a team fighting for ticket revenue ( I presumea) could have chosen another day.  How about Wednesdays?  They have a lot of day games scheduled (getaway day) and a lot of Thursday off days.  That scenarios provides possibly even more time off.  Sundays off is not the only scenario.

Because he can be awful and great all in one game; moniker fits.

3 games. Probably Mahle, Bundy, and Archer. I, unlike many, am not enthralled by Mahle. His actual performance is more improtant than the predictive stats to me. And the 3 homers and 4 earned in 6 was not a great starting point. I will probably pass. But if they sweep the Dodgers...... maybe.......

This may be way too obvious, but Bremer's post gam comments will center on the Twins splitting this 4 game set, if we lose.

While he may be correct, to some extent, The Twins could have done better.  As long as these guys accept mediocrity, we'll never have the edge in close games or in the playolffs.
