I really wish, unless there was an indication of tiredness, that Ryan went another inning.

I know it’s not about pitch counts anymore but it sure seems like the magic number has decreased from 100 to 80, at least on our team

What is even more strange he only faced 18, which is even low for the Twins. Guess that answers the question from the other thread, he is a lower half of the rotation guy.

Edit - didn't see the two hit batters, so 20 is right on par, if it was the 4th I believe they would let him come out for the 5th in this situation

The radio crew was talking about this being Ryan's highest IP total.  The team can't limit his pitches because they don't have anyone else to throw, so I wonder if this is how they're trying to do it with him.  They've at least shown the willingness to allow Ryan to go deeper, unlike the others in the rotation (which would be to your point).

The Twins have lost 7 of the last 9 against Detroit. That’s unacceptable. They need to get up off their butts and win this game and put and end to the Tigers winning against them.

That's not right, it's lost 6 of last 10. We've only lost 6 games total against them and have beat them 9 times so far.

Im getting really tired of starters getting pulled after 5 innings and sub 80 pitches.  They are delusional thinking the bullpen can go 4 innings every game.

The 5th inning seems to determine everything. Doesn’t matter what happened in 1-4 innings. If you have a shaky 5th you’re coming out pretty much regardless of anything else. Awfully hard to expect a guy to not have a shaky inning

in 2018 he pitched 98.1, 2019 he pitched 123.2, In 21 he pitched 66 plus the Olympic team.

I honestly don't think it has anything to do with inning or pitch count, he faced 20 guys, all the starters on the twins average right around 21 batters per game. Except Archer and he is below, All the top pitchers in the league average 24-26 as game.

I'm simply relaying what I heard.  Maybe I missed something, but that's what I heard.
