Can't ask for a bigger bullpen upgrade than that.

And Cade Povich in return? ****, I do that all day.

Yeah, I mean the Twins don't have many healthy trade chips, but they could redo the entire pen if they find other deals like this. Hajjar, Headrick, Festa. Give me something good.

Can't say I have too much faith in a guy who last had an ERA under 6 on 2018 until this year but go team!

He's never been a full time reliever until this year.

I really like the converted starters about 1 year after they've made the transition.

MLBT makes it sound like we sent 4 prospects, so far we know 3 of them. I have no problems parting with any of the 3 named so far, so on paper I love this trade. More please!

Juan Rojas is the fourth piece.

I’m seeing on Reddit it’s the 3 that @Musk21mentioned plus LHP Juan Rojas

Lopez career numbers are pretty abysmal, but all of a sudden he's having a great season. What happened? We also lit him up a couple times back in early July. Anyway, it seems like a good move. I hope he can really help us. I also hope we're not done with trades. Still some time left to make a couple deals.

Lopez (and Glen Perkins, Brad Hand, Liam Hendricks, Wade Davis, Andrew Miller, Zack Britton) is why you should try these guys as a full time reliever for ONE full season before giving up on them. That transition from starter to swingman usually doesn't work out well.

It's a good upgrade to our bullpen but I hope Lopez is under control for at least another season. He is having a fantastic year and hopefully can continue. Is Cano the one currently on our roster? He seems decent if he is.

Lopez is under team control for 2 more years.

Lopez is under control for two more seasons after this one.

Cano is the guy who's given up 17 hits, 11 walks and 3 HR in 13 2/3 innings for the Twins this year.

Normally you don't give up 4 prospects for a relief pitcher, but I'm definitely on board with the quantity over quality approach. Hopefully teams other than the Orioles are willing to do this too.

Also, what the heck are the Orioles doing? They're above .500, possibly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and trade a guy who would still be around for 2.5 years for Cano and three guys who are many years away from making the majors.

They may think they are selling high.  It is also a situation,  where they may think they still need to boost their minors.  They will be competing in 2-3 years.  Even still if I was a Baltimore fan,  this trade seems rather light.

Agreed. More quantity for quality trades would be great. If only Miami would do this....
