Could the Twins Pull off a Mega-Deal with the A's?

Its no secret that the Twins have been linked to Frankie Montas for a long time now. Falvine has reportedly contacted Oakland's front office about a trade for the starter, but I'm wondering if the Twins could knock out three birds with one stone. Its obvious to everyone that the Twins need pitching help, but now with Ryan Jeffers hurt for 6-8 weeks, the Twins need another catcher to pair with Sanchez. I'm not going to attempt to piece together Oaklands return for a mega package like I'm going to suggest, but that's why this is a forum. Does anyone think the Twins could acquire Frankie Montas, Sean Murphy, and Lou Trivino from Oakland? If so, what would a return look like? It would require a ton of talent going back to Oakland, but with Correa only here for one year lets go all out. What do you think?

Just a guess at the massive haul that Oakland would want but:  Larnach, Steer, Wallner and Raya might get it done.

If I were Falvine Id pull the trigger on that. I think Oakland is going to want a high minors pitcher though

Oakland would never move those three together since they can most likely get more shopping them individually.

Trade values chart says Royce Lewis, Jose Miranda and Alex Kirilloff isn't even enough to get that done.

And I don't even like Montas. Murphy is just an average player, he just happens to play catcher. And Travino has had a down year. Anyway, I don't think that trade helps the Twins now or in the future.

This is what a trade could look like. I think it's a good trade, there are some players that would be hard to see go but.... to fill holes it costs.

I would target Montas and AJ Puk and stay away from Murphy (overrated) and Trevino (not as good as Puk and not left-handed).

If I'm trading for a catcher, I'd rather go for Contreras from the Cubs.  Better player and cheaper than Murphy.  I still see both Montas and Castillo in play for the Twins.  I think Pablo Lopez is a good target as well.  Miami has more young pitching than they know what to do with, they don't need a young pitcher back.  They need hitters.

I'm fairly confident that the FO will do something at the deadline. Whether or not they pull of anything remotely resembling a "blockbuster", is extremely doubtful. It's just not their style. I don't know if Montas is even worth giving up some of the kids for. I'd rather have Castillo. Although he's been good in past seasons, Trevino doesn't do much for me either. More than likely, they make a couple small deals for some pitching. I'd like to see Murphy here, I don't feel he's over rated at all. He's a good solid defensive catcher with a decent bat. Much better than what we've got. It'll be very interesting to see what happens in the next couple weeks. I think a lot will hinge on how bad we play coming off the break. If we keep cratering, that might change the whole ball of wax.
