I think it's as much a stretch as people thinking it deserves the same respect as our National Anthem. Do you stand for every patriotic song you hear?

Who said that it does? If I were in a stadium with tens of thousands of people, I probably would stand. In what way could it possibly hurt? Not every moment has to be about me and what I want or think

When people stand for GBA, I actually think it's a HUGE disrespect to our actual National Anthem. HUUUUUUGE. So, yes, I'll stay seated and if anyone wants to ask me, I'll tell them that, that they are the ones being disrespectful.

Go ahead and do that in Mississippi.  They won't punch a woman.

In public.

Eh ... as a song, I don't particularly like that one, either ... lol ... yes, I'm a music snob.

Sometimes musical snobs, though well-intentioned, can go overboard. Igor Stravinsky immigrated to the US in 1939 and became a citizen in 1945. Desiring to honor his new home he penned an arrangement of the National Anthem. However, he almost created an incident with it.

Is this Pagan's last audition before the break, in hopes of a possible deal,  We can't hold onto this loser til the Deadline.

The only thing he should be auditioning for is America’s got talent

Like that would change us.

Well pretty soon we’ll be at the point of the season where only like 4 people post here, so I guess we should enjoy it while we can

Fascinating.  If that were played without anyone mentioning it was a special arrangement, I doubt 99.9% of listeners would notice.  Nearly every live rendition reflects some little addition or variation.  Sometimes even on purpose. :)

Imagine the outcry if this were performed at a ballpark:

This is why the team needs to win so we don’t have to talk about nonsense like this ?

Oh we need nonsense, maybe not this.  "The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy nor Roman nor an empire. Discuss."

Just a friendly reminder you mis-spelled ‘closer’ by forgetting the letter ‘c’ somewhere in the above sentence :)

(In other words, that we don’t call names or get personal here)

Chicago and Cleveland will go around us like Secretariat at the Belmont in the second half.   They are much superior teams in every aspect of the game, especially at the helm.

There was a time not very long ago at all where I would have fully disagreed with this statement, especially concerning Cleveland. I still believe we’re better than Cleveland but thinking Chicago is going to cruise past us. We just have nothing in the pitching department. Nothing.
