GAME THREAD: 7/15/222 Minnesota Twins v Chicago White Sox, 7:10 PM CDT

Rocco has no pecking order in the bullpen, because he is smarter than everyone else and he magically knows the right match up at the right time to use.  If your bottom three or four relievers can't get outs in the middle innings how do you expect them to get outs in the later innings.  And Smeltzer should have been left in longer.

Thielbar and Duffey need to be ahead of Jax in the bullpen pecking order for now

I dunno about that, Jax has been really good since the beginning of June and only gave up 2 runs in his last 9 innings pitched before today. Jax will be willing many more chances, seeing how many shots Pagan gets. But I do agree that Duffey should get bumped up, even if I am wary that his stuff isn't what it used to be.

I was waiting for my wife at the restaurant bar, the other night.  I asked the bartender if he could check and see if the Twins game was on TV.  I got the dirtiest look from him and a couple of other guys.   I told him to forget it, my wife showed up.  I actually went to the restroom and waited for her in there.

He had a good June but he’s not been good in July. This is now his 3rd appearance of the month where he’s given up big runs late. Don’t forget, he was also got bailed out by a play that has literally never happened in the history of baseball (8-5 triple play)

At the game. There seemed to be some discussion between the ump and twins bench before the HR. Them Jax appeared to have some words after the inning. What happened?

I had some words after the home run too. Probably would have gotten me run

Ump must have hated Twins.

Anyone else think Keep should have attempted to hunt for a hit there?

Considering our poor fundamentals, I think that would be a high risk decision down 3 in the 8th

Since my spell checker is warmed up, I just want to say:

I'm not asking for miracles from the Twins.  All I ask is for a team to be consistent.  Exhibit a decent baseball IQ.  I want a team that looks to increase in the win column, not try to expand the IL roster.  Please, just hit the cut off man, take the extra base when it's there, don't worry about being a nice guy, and fire the last fly ball out of the inning into the upper deck.

Have a manager that comes out of the dugout, to question or argue a call.  Tell Baldelli,,someone else can bring out the stretcher.  I want Baldelli to clear the cache on his laptop.  I want him to upgrade his browser.

So basically, a few tweaks here and there may be all it takes to increase this teams success.  It can only help it look a bit more professional.

As a long suffering minnesota sports fan, I’m at the acceptance point of the season. Usually happens around week 13 for the Vikings and august for the twins

Yep, in reality this team is basically what most thought they were. A .500ish team that can sneak into the playoffs because of the terrible division but realistically doesn't have a chance to advance in the postseason barring some true overperformance by some starters.
