Miguel Sanó’s Looming Return

Moving someone off the 40-man is easy.  Making room on the 26-man means Miranda or Kirilloff need to go down.  They have a dilemma if he crushes it for 20 days in AAA.  However, do you want to swap Kirilloff or Miranda for him if he looks anywhere near as bad as he did when he got injured.  This is going to be interesting.

My guess is that he is leaving the organization at the end of his rehab stint.  Under what terms depends on how well he plays during those 20 days.

Miranda is a long term option, but I will give Sano a chance before dumping him. Give him 2 weeks with the big club and if he doesn't rediscover his stroke, time to move on. He has rediscovered it in the past, give him one more chance

Sano~ is a damn if you do and damn if you don’t situation. The current situation about Sano~ is very stressful. How many miles of rope do give a guy like Sano~ to make improvements with no results. Maybe the Sano~  situation   is one that will never improve within the Twins organization.  Maybe the Twins need to cut their frustration and the frustration for Sano~ too by letting him go.

The Sano situation is like when you’ve been living with a significant other and break it off. Both of you have lined up to sign a lease at separate apartments, but there’s 2 months left on your current lease.

If we continue to mill over what happened with David Ortiz we will be killing ourselves. Sano will never hit like Ortiz. And we can't use his opt out till after the season. So he gets healthy as long as that takes. Then he plays in St. Paul till he starts hitting. It's better to have him hot in the stretch run.
